What a franchise costs in Kyrgyzstan and what goes into the price
What goes into the cost of a franchise, what royalties and payback periods franchisors in Kyrgyzstan claim, and what to ask before you buy.
Short answer. There is no single price. The cost depends on the brand and format, and usually breaks down into a franchise fee (lump-sum), launch costs and regular payments. Most franchisors in Kyrgyzstan only give a price on request. For example, the self-service coffee shop Banda Panda lists 450 000 and 530 000 som, depending on the format.
What makes up the cost
Item | What it is | When you pay |
|---|---|---|
Franchise fee (lump-sum) | Payment for the right to operate under the brand and for training | Once, at the start |
Launch | Fit-out, equipment, first stock order | Once, at the start |
Working capital | Rent and wages until the outlet reaches the revenue it needs | The first few months |
Royalty | A regular percentage of revenue or a fixed amount | Every month |
Marketing fee | Contribution to joint advertising, where this applies | Every month |
Ask for the full launch cost. The franchise fee (lump-sum) may be only a small part of the total.
What the InvestHub catalog shows
The franchise catalog lists 26 offers as of November 7, 2026, including 10 in food service and 4 in education. The figures below were provided by the franchisors themselves. We have not verified them, and they are not a promise of results.
- Price. 25 of the 26 franchises give their price on request.
- Royalty. Listed by 8 franchises: from 0 to 5%.
- Payback period. Listed by 18 franchises: from 4 to 48 months, with a median of 11 months.
The stated payback period is the franchise seller's own estimate. In practice it depends on the location, the rent and your own work, and an outlet may take longer to pay back or may never pay back at all.

Questions to ask the franchisor
- What is the full launch cost, including fit-out and working capital?
- What does the franchise fee (lump-sum) cover: training, support, supplies?
- How much do I pay each month, and for what?
- How many outlets are operating now, how many have closed, and why?
- Can I talk to current franchisees?
- How was the payback period calculated, and what rent and revenue figures was it based on?
- Is there an assigned territory, and what happens if I leave the contract?
Which taxes to factor in
Your tax regime affects the payback calculation. Under the single tax, the rate depends on the type of business and the form of payment: a review for October 2026 lists 3% for food service, and for services 6% on cash payments and 4% on non-cash payments (source). Rates changed during 2026, so check yours with an accountant.
Frequently asked questions
Can I open a franchise outside Bishkek?
Often yes, but it depends on the franchisor. Browse franchises by city and check whether your city is available.
Why isn't the price given upfront?
The amount usually depends on the format, the city and the premises, so it is calculated for each individual partner.
Does a franchise guarantee a profit?
No. A well-known brand and ready-made processes reduce some of the risks, but they do not guarantee income.
